Golf Summaries from Saturday 7 May – WRBI Radio

Here are summaries of golf as of Saturday, May 7. All high school events for boys unless otherwise noted. There may be updates, so please check back.

At Hillcrest, Madison won the 12-team Batesville Invitational, beating second-place Yorktown in both overall and team best ball. Greensburg was the school’s highest-covered team, placing fifth in both events. Locals in East Central, Franklin County and Oldenburg also joined the bulldogs.

Championship medalist Henry Ashley was Madison player who defeated teammate Landon True in the tiebreak. Both players scored 76.

Top individual results for local teams included: 82 for Abe Tippi and Colton Schroeder of Greensburg, 84 of East Central Devin MacFarland, 86 of Oldenburg Brett Wagner, 88 of Leo Moody of Batesville and 97 of Peyton McCreary of Franklin County.

At the Hauser Invitational held in Otter Creek, North Decatur took third place behind Greenwood Christian and Heritage Christian. The GC scored 330, and the HC was half a dozen in the 336 and Chargers 349.

Colin Bryant was low for ND with a score of 81, good for a sixth place overall. His teammate Carson Parmer finished 10th in pole position with a score of 84.
