The Blues are about to be taken over by American billionaire Todd Boehle, who is expected to instigate a massive rebuilding at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The former Sky Sports Keys critic claimed on his blog that the club wanted the “English backbone” of their squad and designated Tottenham striker Kane, Three Lions captain, Manchester United defender Maguire and West Ham midfielder Rice.

The Keys also insisted that the Blues aim to strengthen their team with Harry Kane (left) and Declan Rice (right).

He said: ‘They need a centre-back. Harry Maguire? What will it cost? 40-50 million pounds sterling? I’m sure he will jump at the chance of a fresh start.

Rice will be the obvious one in midfield. (N’Golo) Kante has it all except running to a standstill. Rice would be an ideal substitute. Do you sell West Ham? Of course they will if the money is right. I’ll give you £150m for him for the day. If you press Rice hard, it may not take much.

“So who do they go to in advance? (Manager Thomas) Tuchel wants to get rid of (Romelo) Lukaku – that’s very clear. But where?

Who has made the most of it during his career? That’s right – the guy at Spurs. So if (Antonio) Conte could be persuaded to stay – and he imagined working with Lukaku again – what could Spurs do to get him?

They didn’t want to pay anything like Chelsea did for him. So – how about a player exchange? Two players worth 50 million pounds apiece?

I said: An English backbone at Chelsea. So Son (Heung-min) or (Degan) Kulusevsky won’t be interested in the bridge. This leaves one option. Yeah. Number 9 in England. lets see.

Sportsmail He understands that Boehly will save big money for Thomas Tuchel to improve the team during his first transfer window.

But their London rivals are unlikely to demand less than £100m for Kane and Rice, and Maguire has had a poor run this year with the Red Devils.

However, the US-Swiss consortium will be informed immediately that the signing of defense reinforcements should be a priority.

Antonio Rudiger is leaving to join Real Madrid while Andreas Christensen is set to join Barcelona – both on free transfers.

The futures of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso at Chelsea are also uncertain, and at least one of them is expected to leave. Sevilla defender Jules Conde is a long-term target for Chelsea, as the club prepares to reconsider its interest during the upcoming season.

Signing right-back Rhys James – and midfielder Mason Mount – to extend the contract will also be a priority for Boley.

Meanwhile, Keys left Sky, along with co-host Andy Gray, after making sexist comments about assistant referee Sian Massey.
