The Dallas Stars overcame a lot of trouble during the first round with the Calgary Flames, but Jason Robertson’s four-game drought remains.
It’s an unexpected dilemma for the 22-year-old striker, whose regular season of 41 goals could be The The reason to make post-season superstars in the first place. Dallas Morning NewsMatthew de Franks examined the issue in his recent article:
During Game Four, All-Star coach Rick Bowness changed streaks in the third period, which included breaking the top streak for Robertson, Robbie Hintz and Joe Pavlesky. After the match, Bowness said the stars “were trying to free Robow a little bit. He’s struggling, there’s no question.”
On Tuesday afternoon, before the team’s trip to Calgary, Bowness said he expects the top line to be split for Game Five.
What is required to restart a Robo? It also works on:
… “It will be tighter and it will be the playoffs. All I can do now is re-watch what I did and have my teammates help support me and the coaches to tell me what I should do better.” [Robertson said]…
“You’re going through, for whatever reason, a slump, a game, or a low-grade streak and you’re not producing and you want to produce more,” [linemate Joe] Pavelsky said. “So things are looked at in certain ways. At the end of the day, you have to work to get chances and produce when you can. In the end, it’s about winning, so you have to help the team in some way to come out on top that night.”

Here’s how to follow tonight’s game, in a format that shows just how completely the stars embrace their comic book identity.
Meanwhile, DFW residents (or those who just want to take the ride) can join downtown.
