Max Pasuritti named the 2021-22 King Clancy’s Cup Memorial Award

Vegas (May 4, 2022) – The National Hockey League announced today, May 4, the Vegas striker Max Priority Among the shortlisted is the King Clancy Memorial Award 2021-22, which is awarded “to a player who best represents leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution to his community.”

Pacioretty was chosen by the Golden Knights for the impact his leadership has had on the Las Vegas community. At the start of the school year, residents of New Canaan, Connecticut, helped provide teachers with school supplies. During the 2022 NHL All-Star Game at the T-Mobile Arena, Pacioretty supported Raising Cane’s 51/49 Raffle, proceeds of which were donated in memory of Teddy Balkind, who played youth hockey in New Canaan and tragically passed from an injury he sustained in Connecticut high school hockey game. The Pacioretty family donates to local charities, including Olive Crest, and makes frequent visits to help support first responders, police stations and fire houses.

The nominees were selected by their NHL teams. The winner will be selected by a panel of senior NHL executives led by the Commissioner Betman’s running The Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly. The selection committee will apply the following criteria in determining the finalists and winners:

A clear and measurable positive impact on society
* Investing time and resources
Commitment to a specific cause or community
* Commitment to the university’s community initiatives
* Programming creativity
* Use leverage; Share with others

The first place holder will receive a donation of $25,000 to the charity or charities of their choice. The two runners-up will receive a donation of $5,000 to the charity or charities of their choice.

The cup was introduced in 1988 by the National Hockey League’s Board of Governors in honor of Frank “King” Clancy, the NHL’s beloved figure for decades as a player, referee, coach, manager and goodwill ambassador. A three-time Stanley Cup champion and a 1958 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Clancy was voted as one of the NHL’s 100 Greatest Players during the league’s centenary celebration in 2017.
