Superb goals in each half from superstar Mason Mount and USAFL star Christian Pulisic hurt Chelsea, as Leeds were reduced to 10 men after Dan James was sent off in the first half.
Romelu Lukaku netted the third late as Chelsea were in too good shape for relegation-obsessed Leeds.
Chelsea’s win lifted it to 70 points with two games remaining, and if Tottenham lose to Arsenal on Thursday, they will officially maintain fourth place and qualify for the Champions League.
Leeds are still on 34 points and are in the relegation zone with two games remaining as they play Brighton and Brentford and may have to win both to stay on top.

Three things we learned from Chelsea against Leeds
1. Lukaku, Mount, Pulisic, go-to combo: There was a sharpness about this Chelsea attack with Lukaku pinning the Leeds defense in the middle and Pulisic and Mount edging ahead. Tuchel has mixed up his attacking groups repeatedly this season, with Werner, Mount and Haverts being the last trio. However, Pulisic and Mount showed their superior understanding and gave Lukaku Chelsea the focal point they thought he would when he arrived last summer. This trio may not start the FA Cup Final against Liverpool but they have shown that they work really well together.
2. Emotional Leeds in Free Fall: For the second game in a row, a Leeds player was sent off early and the feelings of relegation junk were growing too much for them. Jesse Marsh was furious on the sidelines as Dan James caught Bkovacic and had no complaints about the straight red card. We know Leeds is a huge club and their fans are very passionate and demanding. This doesn’t seem to help them in this situation because the players want to win a lot. After three successive defeats, Leeds will now have to win both of their last games against Brighton and Brentford to have a realistic chance of staying in place as Everton and Burnley play a game in hand. The pressure is on and the Leeds players are exploding, plus early injuries are making matters worse.
3. A perfect warm-up for the FA Cup final: That was exactly what Tuchel wanted to prepare for Saturday’s FA Cup final. He rotated some of his squad, Leeds knocked out an early man and Chelsea managed to keep the ball, create chances and make light work on the losing side of Leeds. Against Liverpool they will be pushed to the limit, but we know the quality of this Chelsea team in a one-off final and you won’t be able to get past one of their star players to provide the moment of magic they need in attack after a solid defensive display at Wembley.
Man of the Match: Mason Mount – A great goal and assist while he was ahead of the class the entire time.
The jumper off to start flying
Chelsea got off to a perfect start when he saw masterful counter Reece James take a shot down the right and rotate Mount to make the home beautiful and make it 1-0.

Mount then hit a shot after good work from Pulisic and Leeds were all over the place at the back as wave after wave of Chelsea’s attack arrived.
Leeds finally got some chances from set-piece situations but then hit the foot.
An unnecessary red card infuriates Marsh
In the second straight game, their number was reduced to 10 men as Dan James received a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Mateo Kovacic.
Mount got a long shot right after that as Leeds struggled to gain any momentum.
Lukaku finished well but was just offside and then headed wide after Reese James hit a delicious cross.
Pulisic, Lukaku turn on the chapter
Chelsea doubled their lead as the impressive Mount found Pulisic on the edge of the penalty area and the NFL star to win 2-0.
Pulisic then leaned far as he was inches from second and third for Chelsea.
Lukaku then easily converted Liam Cooper but pulled his shot away as Chelsea threatened to run away from things.
Lukaku finally scored late as he waited for the perfect moment to thrash Chelsea 3-0.
