Opponents, release date, and more

The Buffalo Bills are entering their 2022 schedule with incredibly high expectations after they nearly reached the Super Bowl last season. With a slate to win now and Stefon Diggs signed on a long-term deal, could this be the year the Bills finally bring the championship home?

Catch up on all the Buffalo Bills schedule leaks leading up to the Thursday night schedule release.

Buffalo Bills 2022 schedule and opponents

Although we don’t know the exact schedule yet, we do know the Bales opponents for the 2022 season. These competitors obviously include their East Asian rivals, with each playing once at home and once on the road.

Buffalo will have the following teams on its home schedule for the 2022 season: Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.

The Bills will travel to play the following schedule for the 2022 season: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, New York Jets, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.

On May 9, ESPN announced that Bills will host the Titans on Monday, September 19 (week 2) at 7:15 p.m. ET.

2022 will be the second regular season of 17 NFL games. The Bills’ 17th game on their 2022 schedule has them traveling to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Although it was called the seventeenth game, this does not necessarily mean that they will play Rams in the eighteenth week.

The power of a billing schedule puts them in the middle of the pack

Considering the Bills won the AFC East Championship last year, there was always a risk that their schedule would be difficult in 2022. Therefore, their schedule (based on expected winning totals) is nearing the middle of the group with the toughest schedule of 13. It’s a huge bonus.

The billing schedule is by no means easy. They face three teams, the Packers, the Chiefs, and the Rams, who are expected to win more than 10 matches. Then there are games with Dolphins, Titans, Browns, Vikings, Ravens and Bengals, who are expected to win nine or more games.

However, this is balanced by the Jets’ encounter twice and the Lions, both of whom are expected to win six competitions or fewer. In addition, they face the Steelers and Bears, who are expected to win in less than eight games.

When it comes to the home/road division of the billing table, there is a slight discrepancy. The Bills’ home table ranks as the tenth hardest in the league. Meanwhile, their road table is ranked 13th in the easiest league ranking.

When will the billing schedule for 2022 be released?

The NFL has announced that the 2022 NFL schedule will be released Thursday, May 12, at 8 p.m. ET for the Billings and 31 other teams. The release will be broadcast on the NFL Network, NFL.com, and the NFL App. Additional coverage will be broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

Before the full schedule is released, the following games will be announced:

Select Games
Specific games, such as the first matches, will be announced in the week of May 9.

The first home game
Each team will be allowed to announce their first opponent in the match at home on Thursday, May 12, at 6 p.m. ET.

When does the 2022 NFL season start?

The 2022 NFL season will begin on Thursday, September 8th. If the NFL sticks to tradition, the season will start where the 2021 season ended – SoFi Stadium. Traditionally, the Super Bowl winners host that opening game.

With the Bills being Super Bowl contenders, there’s a chance they’ll open the year against the Rams in Los Angeles.
