Pep Guardiola: Erling Haaland will help us achieve more | Kevin De Bruyne “Beyond Perfection” | football news

Pep Guardiola has sent a chilling message to the Premier League that he believes Erling Haaland will help Manchester City, who are already scoring free goals, score more next season.

Kevin De Bruyne scored four goals to lead City to a 5-1 victory over Wolverhampton in Molino to move three points away from the top of the English Premier League table and lead four points from the title.

The illustrious Belgian has netted eight goals in his last eight Premier League games, with his impact in the final third proving to be one of the main reasons why City relentlessly won the title.

Guardiola said: “What can I say? The second part of the league is beyond perfection.

“He’s always a generous guy, he always has the sense to help. But I think this season he’s also had the feeling of being prolific to score goals. He scored against Chelsea, he scored against Madrid, he’s been decisive in scoring, and in the end that’s what makes The best.

“I am very happy for him because, of course, scoring four goals in the crucial part of the league is very important.”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was pleased with the result and the team’s performance against Wolverhampton, especially the performance of ‘key man’ Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne is now City’s top scorer in the Premier League with 15 goals to his name, setting him a record-scoring goal in a single season. Goals have also been scored in the big matches with De Bruyne scoring in the two matches with Liverpool and in the 1-0 win over Chelsea in January.

Guardiola is happy to see the Belgian enjoy the feeling of scoring more goals, for example: “We talked. Not now, but during the years. You have to get into the box, you have to be close to the box, you have to the result: this season has been the The year he did better and better and I hope he continues not only this year but the rest of his career.

“I have a feeling that now he’s starting to enjoy scoring goals. Before that it was just assists. Now I think he feels like it when his teammates come and hug him after he scored.”

City became the first team in Premier League history to win five consecutive league matches by at least three goals, achieving the feat while in the midst of a stressful environment in the title race.

This has resulted in them winning their last five Premier League matches to score 22-1 as they are the top scorers not only in the Premier League but in all the top five leagues in Europe (Spain, Italy, France, Germany and England).

They don’t stand still though. City announced that they had agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Haaland on Tuesday. The Premier League champions will pay the striker’s £51.1m release clause and he will arrive at the Etihad on July 1, subject to terms being finalised.

The news was met with excitement within the city’s fan base as Norwegian flags were finally seen at Wolverhampton – and after scoring his third goal of the night, De Bruyne himself conducted a meditation celebration with his arms – something Haaland himself made at Borussia Dortmund.

Guardiola, speaking for the first time since City announced the deal, said adding a player with this ability to finish would only help City add more goals to their already massive tally.

“Sure, he can help us score more. It’s not about that. In the end it’s about winning matches.

He added, “I never thought that our defensive position depended on the heart of the defender and I never thought that the goals we score depended on the striker. He scored a lot of goals in his career and we will try to help him through that. The game, he has more chances to score goals.”

“We’ll never give him the responsibility to score goals. We have to win games and if we’re going to win games, we need everyone to do it in the best way possible, and get as high as possible. Then, of course, if we get there, with the quality we think he has, we can do So.

“I answer because I have to do it and I’m a gentleman but this next season. Now we have to work a lot this season. It’s not done. We still have work to do. We saw yesterday how difficult Aston Villa will be, and of course West Ham. So, still I have work to do.”

Micah Richards couldn’t hide his happiness over Manchester City’s signing of Erling Haaland, believing they carried out a massive coup by paying just £51m.

“This was De Bruyne’s show”

Adam Batty of Sky Sports Molineux wrote:

This was Kevin De Bruyne’s show. The total projected goals for City’s seven first-half shots at Molino was just 0.52 – in other words, attempts from those positions usually yield one goal every other game. De Bruyne scored three goals in 24 minutes.

The first was measured in the corner, and the second was credited with anticipating after some finesse to shape the opportunity in the first place. The third showed strength in his shoes, as the ball flashed into the net to draw gasps from the crowd.

Three different goals but all with his alleged left foot. He added a fourth. Nobody should be surprised. De Bruyne continues to present. In the City special team, which Haaland will soon reinforce, he is The special player.

What’s Next?

Wolves return to play at Molineux on Sunday when they host already relegated Norwich. They finished their season with a trip to face Liverpool at Anfield.

Manchester City travel to West Ham on the same day, live on Sky Sports, with a chance to consolidate their grip on the title before completing their run against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on the final day.
