When The Smashing Pumpkins debuted in Chicago in 1988, the world had never heard of a band quite like them. When formed, their sound was different, rebellious, and entirely new – and still remains today.

As a result, they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide and amassed two GRAMMY┬« Awards, two MTV VMAs, and an American Music Award. Their catalog is marked by Platinum Army [1991]The Siamese Quadruple Platinum Dream [1993]Diamond-certified Mellon Collie and Infinite Sorrow [1995]Platinum I adore [1998]The Gold Machine / God’s Machines [2000].

In 2018, they embarked on one of their most successful tours ever, the Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour, followed by SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT, VOL. 1/ ll: no precedent. no future. no sun. Meanwhile, 2020 saw the release of their eleventh full-length album and latest double album, CYR. As they have always been prolific, The Smashing Pumpkins confirmed that they will be releasing more music in 2022 as they resume the tour. More details to come.
