With their season on the line in a crucial 6 home game against the Florida Panthers, the Capitals needed their best players to find a way to succeed. Right winger TJ Oshie did just that with just over a minute left in regulation.

With 1:01 remaining in regulation, and in a power game in the last 61 seconds of what seemed to be the end of the Capitals season, a crazy scramble in front of the net and a stunning display of hand-eye coordination by Anthony led Mantha to tie the hats cats to send the team into overtime.

The goal is O’Shea’s sixth in the series, and his fifth in his last four games.

Auchi has now scored six goals and one assist in the six matches he has played. Mantha and Evgeny Kuznetsov were recorded with the assists in the play.
