Going Away: Bolts win overtime to force a 7 . game

Lightning and Maple Leafs will go the distance in the first round.

Lightning’s two-goal lead lasted less than a minute before Austin Matthews scored his fourth goal in the series. Giordano fired a shot from what looked like it was off target, but Matthews’ header put it back in the frame and passed Andrei Vasilevsky.

It was by no means the most beautiful goal Brayden Point has ever scored, but it is certainly one of the most important. Alex Killorn’s shot was snagged out of the hole but still made it to Campbell. The point was lurking in front of the net and was able to jam it over the line to keep Tampa Bay’s season alive.
