The story is getting older, and rain is once again forcing the cancellation of Saturday’s Grandview Speedway

A series of intermittent and intermittent showers, along with thunderstorms that arrived in the late afternoon and are expected to continue into the evening, canceled the three-section scheduled program for Saturday night, May 14 at Grandview Speedway.

The program was under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series banner and will include a Modified TP Trailer and TP Truck Equipment Sportsman as well as a special visit by USAC East Coast series Sprint cars. This was the only visit scheduled for this season by the USAC East Coast Series and this event will not be rescheduled.

This is the second week in a row and the fourth rain already this season in Grandview, with only three events completed. While this is frustrating, it’s not the first time in 60 years of track history that Grandview has had to battle weather issues. The start of the 2018 racing season was similar, with four of the first seven races lost to the weather that year as well.

Speedway will be back in action again weather permitting with TP Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and TP Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman next Saturday, May 21 starting at 7:30 p.m. The program will include qualifying events leading to the 30-lap TP Trailer Modified feature and the TP Truck Equipment Sportsman main event. The crater gates will open at 4pm. With the amphitheater gates open at 5:30pm. Warm-up starts at 6:30 pm. Amphitheater admission for adults is $18 while children age 11 or younger are free.

Saturday night May 28 will be another trilogy, as the 602 Crate Sportsman mini-series will join TP Trailer Modifieds and TP Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 p.m.

The first NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on Hill Racing Series Event will occur on Memorial Weekend on Sunday, May 29 with Balls to Wall 50 runs for the first time for 358 mods plus SpeedSTR returns beginning at 7:30 p.m. The modified 358th part of the software will be part of the newly revamped Tri-Track series.

June will kick off with a two-part program on June 4 with TP Trailer Modifieds and TP Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 p.m.

Since the 1960s, Grandview Speedway has been offering an exciting wheel to NASCAR racing every Saturday starting in April and running through September, as well as special events. Grandview Speedway is located at 43 Passmore Road, Bechtelsville, Pa. 19505, off Route 100, ten miles north of Pottstown, Pa.
