Former CB Steelers hints at possible return to Cleveland Browns

Joe Haden may have thrown a major hint about where he sees himself playing next.

Joe Haden has enjoyed what can best be described as a promising but unfulfilled time when it comes to his tenure in the NFL so far.

He dropped out of college from the University of Florida with all the attributes required to seemingly be a top corner in the NFL after making 218 tackles while in his three years with the Gators he aligned with 8 interceptions and 3.5 sacks which helped I see him be called the unanimous All -American in 2009.

Joe Haden: Former CB Steelers hints at possible return to Cleveland Browns

Whoever saw him take seventh overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns did his best to try to achieve success, placing 19 interceptions as well as picking six to go along with the 377 combined tackle that saw him earn honors in the Pro-Bowl in 2013 and 2014, but did not see Brown publish a winning season.

Brighter, but not the brightest

In 2017, he signed into free agency with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team with which he had a better chance of winning a championship and went on to produce a high level of production for City of Steel, with 238 cross-interventions over the past five seasons along. With 10 interceptions, including a crucial pick for Tom Brady who helped the Steelers defeat the New England Patriots again in 2018:

However, at the age of 33, his league days are slowly coming to a close, and he currently finds himself without a team after the Steelers decided not to renew his contract after last season.

But he clearly thinks he has something left in the tank, and according to his social media, there might be a team feeling the same way.

What was said?

Posting on his Instagram story, Haden seemed to imply that he was in discussion with the Browns about possibly returning to the team:

The Browns already have a quality one-corner in Denzel Ward’s form, but it can’t hurt to have an extra depth or veteran captain in the books. Whether it leads somewhere or not we’ll just have to wait and see, but at least he gave us a warning so it shouldn’t come as a shock if it does.
