The Oregon Ducks are having a massive weekend to recruit under their soccer program with several five-star players arriving in town on Friday morning. The weekend just got even bigger and maybe even more impactful with the news that the five-star midfielder Dante More The ducks will be visiting on an unofficial visit.
To bolster the hype this past weekend, 247 Sports hiring manager Stephen Weltfong put a crystal ball in favor of Oregon after his month-long report Thursday afternoon. Two weeks ago Wiltfong said in his Whiparound Recruiting Show that the Ducks are starting to position themselves in the best position to get a commitment from the No. 4 quarterback.
“Regarding Dante More — Lean Notre Dame for the past five months, at least — Notre Dame, I think they’re trying to work their way back into this,” Weltfung said back on June 14. There’s a connection, they’d still love to be a part of their 2023 class. But I think that recruiting has really changed, in talking to the people around him, in talking to Dante outside at the event. My opinion is that you got Oregon in the best position. I think the ducks are the ones I see closest to now. Now, that’s smooth recruiting and things can change. But he made his official visit to Oregon for the spring game. He’s at Texas A&M this weekend, so we’ll see if the Aggies can make a move.”
Wiltfung had a success rate of 91.3% in his crystal ball prediction during the 2023 cycle. He placed a crystal confidence level of six out of 10 for this prediction.
Moore will be arriving in Eugene this weekend for an unofficial visit and spending time with Duck’s coaching staff and other star-studded Oregon visitor list. He made an official visit to Oregon again on April 29 and it will be his second visit to Eugene.
Other visitors this weekend include five-star Mathieu Uigalelli, a five-star run back Richard YoungFour-star probability Jayden Wayne.
Moore is one of the highest rated prospects the ducks have ever walked during the college football recruiting rating era. If Wiltfung’s prediction were correct, Moore would become the highest-rated Oregon quarterback in program history and the fifth highest-ranked player ever to go down with the Ducks. Kayvon Thibodeaux, Justin Flowe, Haloti Ngata and Jonathan Stewart are the only ducks to score higher than Moore who signed with the show.
