Unfortunately for Canadian fans waiting for the Lord Stanley Cup to be brought back across the border, another year will pass without a Canadian team lifting the trophy. With the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning reaching the Stanley Cup Final this year, this marks 29 years since the last Canadian team won it all.

Lightning appears to have become the first three-peat league cup winner since the Islanders dynasty in the 1980s, while the Avs are looking to add their third Stanley Cup to their mantle.
