Houston Astros trail series to Oakland A before heading to the 2022 MLB All-Star Break

Jake Odorizzi broke out in the first five rounds on Sunday, throwing just 71 shots. The right had only allowed two hits before the sixth inning — when slow play spoiled the Houston Astros’ lead.

Odorizzi entered sixth with three runs behind him. Kyle Tucker had a solo home run in the first half, and Jeremy Peña followed up in the fifth with a two-round shot to give the Astros an early three-game advantage over Oakland.
