Braves vs Mets betting preview

start pitchers

Max Fried (10-3, 2.58 ERA): Left-wing fry has established himself as one of the best young shooters in MLB. He was not allowed more than three gain runs in each of his last eight starts, and he managed to keep his head steady. Its 2.83 xERA is actually lower than Scherzer’s, and its 2.47 FIP is great. Walking has never been a concern for him, but he has found ways to improve by releasing the lowest walking rate (4.5%) of his career. Its 2.5% barrel rating is the second lowest among qualified beginners.

Max Scherzer (7-2, 2.13 era): The first season of Mad Max was scheduled in New York of course due to injury, which caused him to miss the end of May and the entire month of June. He has been nothing short of his usual formidable personality since his comeback, having allowed no more than two earned rounds in any of his six starts since then. With 14 starts, he has a 2.13 ERA, 0.92 whip, and 3.15 xERA.

money line analysis

Saturday’s second double-header game between the Braves and the Mets is the game baseball fans should be eagerly awaiting.

This game not only contains two of the best teams in NL but also a great shooting match between Max Friend and Max Scherzer.

There isn’t a huge text advantage either side, which seems silly when you take the strength of the Scherzer name into account, but it’s accurate from a statistical point of view. Fried may not be as well known as his pitcher counterpart, but he actually has the lowest xERA between the two (2.83 to 3.15) and is in the same category as elite pitchers.

Let’s look at the next multiplication. The Mets have been a hot red, ranking second, wOBA and first in wRC+ for the last 15 days. The Braves have a serious lineup as well, but they rank behind the Mets on sample size (11 in wOBA, 12 in wRC+).

Despite the quality of the Mets’ lineup, they aren’t great against the left throw. They are ranked 14th in wOBA and 12th in wRC+ against southpaws on the season. Those numbers look a lot better in recent days, as it has hit 4th place in both wOBA and wRC+ in the last 15 days.

Given that the Mets have been 6-1 in their last seven games against a left-handed starter, I’m not worried about how they will face the South Bows because I’m going to take a quick look at the season numbers.

The Mets are 9-3 in their last 12 games with two heads and 5-2 in their last seven games against the Braves. I expect both trends to continue.

Over / Under Analysis

First, let’s talk about how good novice shooters are.

Scherzer needs no introduction now that the baseball world knows he’s among the elite elite. His numbers haven’t seen any kind of dip in his 38-year season, with his top-tier strike rate (31.4%) and walk rate (4.9%) in line with his career numbers. His xERA is usually under 3.00, but it’s at 3.15 this year. Given its FIP of 2.64, you don’t have to worry.

The stir-fry doesn’t make the same amount of flapping (23.1% strike rate) but it’s considered elite everywhere else. The 2.83 xERA and 2.47 FIP indicate that its actual 2.58 age is no coincidence. Perhaps the most impressive part of his overall profile is his 2.5% barrel rating—the second best among qualified rookies in MLB. He excels at avoiding serious contact and now has a low walking rate (4.5%) to go with it.

The Braves were headed toward The Over, but they didn’t encounter Mad Max at home. The Mets, meanwhile, are 43-21-5 for the rare in their last 69 games with two heads.

The Under is the recommended play.

prediction: less than 7 (-110 on bet365)

best bet

Make no mistake, this is a match between two great teams and two elite shooters.

Feeling strong about either side is tough on that side, so I’m aiming for the total for the best bet.

Both teams will be tired and running at less than 100% during game two of this double header – except for Fried and Scherzer, ie.

This match is set up for a low-goal match and a great bowling duel, so I’m standing by the Under.

pick or pick: under 7 (-110 at bet365)
