It will be a wall to itself.

Many would agree that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is an outstanding athletic talent. As much as James was on the hardwood, sports analyst Skip Bayliss believes the four-time champion could have excelled in world football, too.

Watching James play basketball is one of the few perks the world has right now. Even at the age of 37, James is still one of the best players in the world. His athletic abilities have given him worldwide recognition, and even NBA fans know about him. Like other NBA stars, James wasn’t a single athlete.

He played football for two seasons at Saint Vincent Saint. Marie High School. Even in his short football career, James was able to display his other athletic talents. During those two seasons, James was twice named a wide receiver throughout Ohio.

Even James believes he could have been an NFL player if he chose football over basketball.

When asked a football-related question about the All-Star 18 times, Bayliss said:

“Even my guy LeShannon Sharpe thinks LeBron is going to struggle with extreme physical strength, and that’s the NFL. But I still think… LeBron was at least as good, passing, not mind, but a tight end like Jimmy Graham.

“LeBron James, if he had so chosen, it would have been a left-hand interference from the Hall of Fame…it would have been a wall to himself.”

When Bayless James completes, it’s always a sight to behold. Bayless makes a great point about James being a Hall of Fame talent on the football field.

LeBron James’ mission next season is to return the Lakers to the playoffs

It was hard to watch the Lakers’ career last season as they tried to make things work with a bunch of old players. In addition, one of their main problems was the suitability of Russell Westbrook.

With the front office trying to get younger support staff to help James and his cohorts, it still isn’t enough to get them where they want to go.

After winning the 2020 title in the bubble, everyone in Los Angeles looked tired. Given what they dealt with, it is understandable that their season ended in the first round of the playoffs in 2021. The same fate happened to their 2020 Finals rival, the Miami Heat.

However, trading the major players for Westbrook was a mistake. Knowing they needed a shooter to help clear the ground was a questionable move.

Now, James and the Lakers are carefully watched as they try to turn back.
