According to the Associated Press, players voted to accept Major League Baseball’s latest offer of a new business deal, paving the way to salvage a regular 162-game season. The season start date will be April 7.

With so many moving parts, here are some dates and times to know as a full season approaches.

Thursday night at 5 pm

The owners voted 30-0 to approve the deal at 5 p.m.

The CBA will be officially certified at 6 p.m., which will bring a frenzy of feeding to the 100 remaining free agents. Negotiations were suspended during the shutdown.

Major League Baseball has announced the designated universal hitter, so the Cardinals will likely be in the market for a big bat when free agency begins.

March 11-17

With an agreement, fans can see stars like Yadier Molina, Adam Wainwright and Nolan Arenado at camp as soon as Friday.

According to ESPN, the Spring Training Games are expected to begin as early as March 17.

The young cardinals had already been at Jupiter for about a week.

March 18

The Cardinals will face the Houston Astros at 12:05 p.m. in their first practice game of the spring of the year. You can watch the game on Bally Sports Midwest or listen to it on KMOX Radio.

April 7

Opening day is less than a month away, with the regular season set to begin on April 7.

The Cardinals were scheduled to start their opening game at home on April 7, but were removed from the schedule on the team’s website on Wednesday after Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that matches had been canceled until April 13. Now that the league’s opening day is set for April 7, the Cardinal will open the season at Busch Stadium with a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The first pitch is set to 3:15.
