Under the bright lights of New York City, Jake Paul is looking to change the world of boxing once again. Paul Hashim Rahman Jr. faces off inside Madison Square Garden on August 6.

A common feature will be Amanda Serrano defending the WBC, WBC and IBO featherweight titles against Brenda Carabajal.

Paul is a former Disney star and YouTube personality. He made his boxing debut in 2020, defeating YouTuber AnEsonGib via TKO. The next fight that year’s “The Problem Child” had was against former NBA star Nate Robinson. Robinson was defeated in two rounds.

Paul fought three times in 2021. He beat Ben Askrin in April and Tyrone Woodley in August, both former mixed martial arts champions. Fury was due to fight Tommy Fury in December, and had to back out after suffering a broken rib. Woodley took his place, and a rematch was set. During the fight, Paul knocked him down in the sixth round. Fury and Paul agree to fight each other inside MSG before travel problems force Fury out of the match.

The son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, Rahman Jr. (12-1) made his debut in 2017. He won three fights in 2021, two of them by knockout. Rahman’s last fight was a TKO loss against James McKenzie Morrison in April. He is a former sparring partner of Paul.
