Windsor Hills, California (KABC) – A mournful vigil was held Friday night to honor the victims of a multi-vehicle crash in Windsor Hills that killed six people, including a pregnant woman who died with her young son.
Asherie Ryan was on her way to a prenatal appointment at the time of the fiery crash Thursday, her sister Chasina Kerr told ABC7. Ryan’s son, 11-month-old Alonzo Quintero, and her boyfriend, Reynolds Lester, were among the deceased victims.
“Everyone is heartbroken,” Kerr said in an interview. “She literally walked out the door, because we all live together, and she said, ‘Well, I love you all. I’m going to my doctor’s appointment to check up on the baby. We asked, “Oh, why don’t you leave our nephew here?” She said, “No, I want to take my son for a ride.” So, knowing that it really broke our hearts.
The Lester family told ABC7 that the 24-year-old security guard is the father of the unborn child, who is listed as “Baby Ryan” in the coroner’s online records.
Two women and a man were also killed, but their names were not released on Friday.

The Mercedes-Benz coupe never appeared to have brakes as it flew through the intersection and CHP officer Franco Pepe said investigators are looking into whether Linton had a medical accident or was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Several people were thrown from cars and two vehicles caught fire. A news video from the scene showed charred and mutilated cars, as well as a car seat for a child amid the rubble covering the street.
Surveillance video showed the Mercedes swerving through an intersection, hitting at least two cars that burst into flames and slashed onto the curb, ending in front of the gas station parking sign. A line of fire led to one car. One of the cars was torn in half.
