How to Buy Yankees Shirts, White Sox Specials, Field of Dreams Hats

The Yankees and Chicago White Sox released the uniforms that each club will wear at MLB’s Field of Dreams game in Dyersville, Iowa on Thursday, August 12.

Fans who want their Yankees or White Sox Field of Dreams costume or hat, can head over to the MLBShop or fanatics.

Fans who want to attend the game can get tickets from StubHub or TicketSmarter.

Here’s what you need to know about the uniform, via Major League Baseball:

For this first-of-its-kind special event, these two historic franchises will wear custom uniforms inspired by those worn by clubs in the early 1900s.

White Sox uniform features dark blue stripes and a large, bold “SOX” lettering on the left chest. During the game, the club will wear a matching white hat with dark blue stripes. While practicing batting, the White Sox will wear a nautical cap with the letter Sox in white.

The Yankees’ “New York” letterforms are noticeably thinner and wider than the contemporary jersey. The “New York” text tag is also delivered in navy blue on gray with no white stripes, while the jersey shirts are devoid of any sleeve trim. The Yankees will wear a New York hat with a loose tangle.

Here are facts about the field:

Dimensions: 335 feet below the lines; 380 feet to the alleys. and 400 feet to the dead center.

Nods to Old Komiski Park: The bull columns, located behind the 12-foot-high lined wall in Middle Field, were designed to resemble ancient Comiskey Park.

Stadium construction requiredTransport: 30,000 cubic yards of material. Installing 4,000 tons of sand and 2,000 tons of pea gravel under the Bluegrass mix (legend, blue note and bolt varieties).

Game in Cornfield: A “corn maze” adorned with the iconic shaded MLB logo is located behind the right field fence, near the location of the movie Field of Dreams – part of an immersive fan experience. Iowa-based Musco Lighting is providing a first-of-its-kind LED system that will also highlight the 159 acres of corn that surrounds the football field. High green chain link fence with balanced vertical support posts – meaning the posts will actually be in the corn. The stems that produce field corn will grow 10 to 12 feet tall. The hand scoreboard will be in the corn behind the right field fence.
