Expedia reveals travel trends for 2023

SINGAPORE, November 22, 2022: Expedia has unveiled 2023 travel trends across Expedia and the broader travel industry culled from the company’s first-party data and research from thousands of travelers and industry professionals across 17 countries.

The trends prove that there will be no “one size fits all” travel in 2023. Instead, they point to a year defined as “unusual.”

“When we look at Expedia data, we see a detailed and robust picture of travel through 2023,” said John Gesselman, President, Expedia Brands.

“We’re seeing trips to cultural capitals rise and TV shows playing into tourism – it’s not a new normal but people are branching out in unexpected directions in what we call ‘abnormal’.”
