About Ulysse Nardin – Industry Freedom

Ulysse Nardin is the factory inspired by the ocean, producing sophisticated watches for explorers in pursuit of freedom. Founded by Sir Ulysse Nardin in 1846, the company owes its reputation to its association with the sea: shipboard marine chronometers are among the most award-winning and reliable marine chronometers ever designed.

A pioneer in innovative technologies and the use of high-tech materials such as silicium, Ulysse Nardin is one of the few integrated manufactures with the in-house expertise to produce its high-precision components and movements. In 2001, the Maison changed the face of contemporary watchmaking with the launch of the first Freak.

Underlining her commitment to her preferred environment, Ulysse Nardin is active in supporting ocean conservation, focusing on two main areas: promoting recycling to reduce marine plastic pollution and developing scientific knowledge related to shark conservation, her motto.

Today, in the Swiss cities of Leclerc and La Chaux-de-Fonds, Ulysse Nardin remains dedicated to its pursuit of watchmaking perfection in four collections: Marine, Diver, Blast and Freak.

As of 2022, Ulysse Nardin and its sister company, Maison Girard-Perregaux, have formed an independent group of high-end watch manufacturers.
