You won’t be able to find any starting Pokemon in the wild, but you can get them all through trading. We’re here to guide you through the easiest way to trade for all beginners below, even if you don’t have friends who are on the chain.
Trade with friends
If you want to start out old school and only trust the coaches you know to trade, you should be trading with a friend.
Just have your friend hunt something similar in the wild and raise their starter to make eggs for trading. Trading beginners with someone you know is always a great time and a more rewarding way to catch them all.
Once everyone in your group has two extra starters, start trading. Just open the game within the game main menugo to the Bouquet Gateand choose Link want. Enter the secret code, share it with your friend, and follow the onscreen instructions to trade.
Find a business partner on Discord
You don’t have any playing friends pokemon scarlet and violet, Or did all your friends choose the same principle? Not a problem. A lot of people around the world are trying to get all starter Pokémon and have been facing the same problem.
If you are familiar with Discord, it is very easy to find a business partner online. Just create an account on Discord, and join the trend Scarlet Pokemon And the Violet server, and go to the trading channel in the left sidebar. All you have to do is explain what you are looking for in a Pokemon and what you should trade (usually an exclusive or other starter). There are usually friendly trainers who are happy to trade you in for some starter Pokémon that they have left over from competitive breeding.
When you discover a trade link that works for you and someone else, the game will prompt you to review the trade before finalizing it. This is so you can check which Pokémon you’re getting in return and make sure you don’t send a failed Magikarp instead.
Use special link trade codes
Players have also created a link trading code system to connect people looking to trade newbies and release-exclusive Pokémon. Created by YouTuber Austin John Plays, these codes allow you to set specific Pokémon to capture Pokémon and see what Pokémon you should get in return, all without talking to another player. There is a video posted on Youtube that explains the system, but basically, you enter the Pokémon’s Pokédex entry number to facilitate the trade.
The same rules apply here as above – be sure to review the trade before finalizing anything. Since specific deal codes are shared between senders and recipients, you may need to do a few tries before finding the right partner.
