Here is the final injury report, with game designations, for the Detroit Lions in the Thanksgiving Day game against the Buffalo Bills.
In the short week before the Buffalo Bills Thanksgiving Day game, the Detroit Lions only held tryouts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with estimated participation levels.
Here’s the latest Week 12 injury report for the Lions, with Thursday’s game fixtures.
CB Jeff Okudah (concussion) – Out
OG Jonah Jackson (concussion) – Out
Dee Charles Harris (groin) – It’s over
OG/C Evan Brown (ankle) – out
De Joche Paschal (The Knee) – Director
Josh Reynolds (behind) – Questionable
WR DJ Chark (Ankle) – No designation
RB D’Andre Swift (Ankle/Shoulder) – No designation
C Frank Ragno (ft.) – No designation
LB Malcolm Rodriguez (elbow) – No designation
That Okuda was sidelined for Thursday’s game comes as no surprise. He simply didn’t have time to clear concussion protocol in a short week after suffering a head injury last Sunday.
Jackson appeared on Monday’s estimated practice report with an illness, then was listed with a concussion on Tuesday. Cuts to a concussion ensured that the Lions’ left guard would be out on Thursday
Brown has tackled brilliantly at right guard in recent weeks. Dan Skipper replaced him after he was injured last week, and he’s in line to start against the Bills. As for Jackson’s replacement, Skipper could do so while Logan Stenberg or Kayode Oosika play right side.
Harris will miss his second match in a row, and Khamisati will be the fifth match he has missed in his last seven matches. Pascal was also out again in a short week. John Kominsky, Austin Bryant and Julian Okwara will fill the depth of the Detroit snobs’ edge behind Aidan Hutchinson.
Reynolds seemed close to returning to action last week, before he missed Friday’s training and was ruled out on Saturday. The limited estimated training participation on Tuesday and Wednesday is probably a good sign, but we’ll see when the lethargy comes out on Thursday morning.
Shark played 11 snaps in his return to action last week. He may see more this week.
Swift is without playing status for the third week in a row, but it looks like a full increase in picks and touchdowns may never come this season.
Lions also declared They’ve lifted linebacker James Houston and quarterback Ross Birchbacher from the practice squad to the active list for Thursday’s game. Houston, a sixth-round starter from Jackson State, is on his way to his NFL debut.
On the Bills side, they’ll take on defensive linebacker Tremaine Edmonds (groin/heel) and defensive end Greg Russo (ankle) on Thursday. Starting center Mitch Morse (elbow/ankle) is listed as questionable, and defensive tackle AJ Epenesa (ankle) is listed as questionable.
