Lakers news: League experts offer a three-team deal to help Los Angeles return to the promised land — all Lakers

Right now, the Los Angeles Lakers are 5-11, and outside of an impressive range from All-Star superstar Anthony Davis and some fun play thanks to role players Russell Westbrook, Lonnie Walker IV and Austin Reeves, there wasn’t much to enjoy at the start of the 2022-23 season for the team. .

Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus proposes an elaborate three-team deal that could help the Lakers return to semi-title contention, in his estimation.

Pincus suggests that the Lakers ship the combined $65.4 million salary of Westbrook (who’s been fine this year as a backup, just massively overpaid), Patrick Beverley and Kendrick Nunn (the latter two of whom were rough), as well as the team’s future picks in First round in 2027 and 2029. In exchange, they will receive beleaguered Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving, former teammate to Lakers star LeBron James, as well as powerhouse Bojan Bogdanovic, forward Alec Burks, and contract Nerlens Noel for salary matching purposes from the Detroit Pistons.
