The Boston Celtics have gone through a number of outstanding point guards between the rivalry’s most recent era and their current era. Rajon Rondo, Isaiah Thomas, Kyrie Irving, and Kemba Walker came through the organization without finding the level of success the team hoped to achieve with each of them.
However, the club may have the fix they need in the all-time roster, veteran Marcus Smart. Perhaps mistaken as a shooting guard along with such a long line of point guards, the Flower Mound native play recently in 1 this season added new fuel to the fire and that is the idea of intelligent point control.
Even Kendrick Perkins, the former and current ESPN presenter for Celtic, is buying into the idea of Smart as a first-choice keeper.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear Big Perk sing the praises of Smart on the 1 on the latest episode of “NBA Today.”
